Day 15: Nancy Silverton

Restauranteur, Los Angeles

Chef and proprietor of Mozza, Nancy turned her restaurant into a full-time relief center as part of the Restaurant Workers Relief Program. With a grant from the LEE Initiative and a $50,000 donation from Maker’s Mark, Nancy was able to provide her restaurant community with 300 meals a day. In addition to the free meal, the center passed out canned food, medicine, and other essentials to those in need.
