DAY 77: NAVAJO NATION

Southwestern U.S.

According to UCLA researchers, if COVID-19 infection rates were scaled per 100,000 people and
if tribes were states, the five states with the highest rates of infection nationwide would be Native American tribes. Native Americans have been underserved and discriminated against during this pandemic.

As Arizona becomes a new hot spot for new cases of COVID-19, there is concern about how the Navajo Nation will endure.
