DAY 73: CONGRATULATIONS TO ELLIOT HEE, GRADUATING SENIOR

Honolulu, HI

Lei-giving is a time-honored Hawaiian tradition. A lei is a common symbol of love, friendship, celebration, honor, or greeting. In other words, it is a symbol of aloha. In particular there is a beloved tradition of honoring graduates with leis. To keep this tradition alive, in spite of the pandemic, graduates stood outside their homes as, driving by in cars, we showered them with leis.
