A symbol of climate justice, the sunflower is an ode to an optimistic future. After a decade of research, scientists have found sunflowers to be resilient and adaptable to almost any climate.
Climate change is just as uncertain as our current pandemic. We do not know what is to come. We have all fallen into our own way of adapting. But what does the “new normal” actually look like?
The sunflower is a delightful emblem of positive change the pandemic is forcing on us, the global community. When and if it ends, we will already be on a new path to a different kind of normalcy, one that addresses the inequity and social injustice in our outdated systems.
